Well of Youth

The Poço da Juventude trail is located within the Serra Dourada State Park reserve, near the city of Goiás, Goiás. We departed Goiás after breakfast. The drive to the trailhead is approximately 11 km.

We left the car near the Sto. Antônio resort and walked about 4 km through the Serra Dourada State Park until we reached the foot of the mountain. There we found a beautiful pool of crystal-clear water formed by a series of small waterfalls that flowed from the foot of the mountain. It's a very secluded spot and highly recommended for spending the morning.

What to bring:

> Light clothing, cap or equivalent, sunglasses, long pants, raincoat;

> Insect repellent and sunscreen;

> Sufficient water (at least 2 liters per person);

> Comfortable and appropriate footwear (hiking boots);

> A small backpack;

> Personal medication and antihistamines if you have any allergies;

> Snacks;

> Cell phone;

> Flashlight;

> 70% hand sanitizer or liquid alcohol;

> Protective mask.

Guide's Tip: Bring a float if you're traveling with children or don't know how to swim.

Itinerary Schedule:

We'll depart from the client's accommodation in Goiás City and head to the starting point of our hike by car. If you're biking, you can also pedal out of Goiás.

As we walk along the trail, the guide will introduce you to the Cerrado vegetation, a bit of the history of Serra Dourada State Park, and some stories about it.

Soon after, 1 km further on, we reach the Well of Youth.

There, visitors will have the opportunity to admire the well-preserved Cerrado, as well as a series of waterfalls that form the Well of Youth. It's one of the most beautiful places in the city of Goiás.

After leaving the attraction, we'll return to Goiás.
